Saffron is very delicate spice and needs to be extracted by hands. To get a single pound of saffron, almost 75,000 saffron flowers are required. Each flower contains 3 saffron stigmas.

Dried saffron stigmas are used as Saffron spice and it has various properties and a huge number of benefits in human lifestyle. Also, Saffron Flower is also beneficial for human health. Saffron is the richest source of Riboflavin, Vitamin B that helps human to maintain a healthy immune system. Apart from these, saffron contains Potassium, Manganese, Iron, Calcium, Selenium, Copper, Zinc, and Magnesium. It also contains significant amounts of vitamins A and C, folic acid, and niacin. In general, an adult person can take 1.5 gram saffron daily. Consuming more than 4 gram saffron in a day can be toxic for health.
